Part 1. Speaking
The objective of this part of the lesson
To engage students to the topic and give them the opportunity to speak about it using lexis they already know.
Teaches students new vocabulary (lexis) so that they can use adjectives with nouns they collocate with.

Activity 1.

Duration: 12 minutes
Objective: To practice vocabulary and introduce students to the grammar point, the present/future/past passive voice. This will prepare them for the production.

I – Listen to the conversation between the travel agent and the customer.

M – for example, I listen to the recording and when I hear the answer I write it down.

Objective: Teach grammar point. Demonstrate an active sentence, then change to passive voice. This will prepare students for the production.

The object becomes the passive Subject.
The subject becomes the agent although it’s not necessary to include the agent in the passive voice because it is not important. It’s not the focus of the sentence.

Objective: To use vocabulary and grammar learnt in the lesson.
Students will mainly be: Speaking
D – In pairs.
I – One student is the Travel Agent and the other is a customer. The travel agent must sell their holiday to the customer. The customer must ask questions about the holiday, eg food and drink, tours, room service. Use these images to describe your holiday. Change roles when you have finished.
M – For example, go to Paris! You will be met at the airport and driven to your hotel on the Champs-Elysees! You will be taken on a tour of the city and treated to dinner at the Eiffel Tower!
T – You have 10 minutes.
S – give handouts
Filler: DIMTS Present passive game.
Duration: 6-8 minutes
Objective: Speaking practice S – S using grammar point.
Students will mainly be: Speaking
In pairs/groups roll the dice and move along the board. When you land on a box, say a sentence in the present passive using the words in the box.
For example – I land on a box with eat / hamburgers / America. Present passive voice is – Hamburgers are eaten in America!
