Overview of the Trinity CertTESOL Course in Barcelona?
Course Introduction – After completing your application and enrolling in our Trinity CertTESOL course, we will grant you access to our online introduction programme. This will provide you with an overview of the course and approach we take to English teaching methodology.
English Teaching Methodology – Upon commencing the Trinity CertTESOL course we will equip you with a range of English teaching techniques and methodologies to put into practice with your students during and after the course. This includes hands-on workshops, tutorial sessions and multimedia content to maximise your understanding of each teaching technique.
Teaching Practice – Our Trinity CertTESOL course is designed to be as practical as possible. You will have opportunities to put your ideas and new skills into action with real students from the first week of the course. You will receive personalised feedback from your tutor for each class, accelerating your development and building your confidence while enjoying the thrill of seeing your first students progress.
Grammar and Language – Our grammar workshops are designed to help you brush up on your English skills and understand how to teach language structures to students of all ages and abilities.
Classroom Resources and Technology – We will equip you with the necessary skills to employ a wide range of technology and resources to maximise the impact of your teaching while making your classes dynamic and engaging.
Lesson Preparation and Guidance for Private English Classes – Private English classes are immensely popular not only in Barcelona and other parts of Spain but all over the world. These sessions will provide you with the skills required to teach one-to-one private English classes, from analysing students’ strengths and weaknesses to planning, delivering and evaluating personalised lessons.
Demo Classes with Experienced Teachers – We will arrange for you to attend demonstration classes with experience English teachers so you can observe how they plan lessons and deliver classes.
You will also participate in four foreign language classes as a student yourself to experience first-hand what it’s like to learn a foreign language taught entirely without use of your native language.
Learning languages like Japanese, Norwegian or Hindi without any use of English will provide you with a fantastic insight into what it’s like for native Spanish-speakers to learn English.
To be eligible for the Trinity CertTESOL course in Barcelona you should:
- Be 18 years old or older.
- Be able to express yourself freely in written and verbal English. You do not need to be a native English speaker to enrol in the Trinity CertTESOL course.
- Possess a university degree or equivalent, or have university entrance qualifications and work experience.
- Be personable, presentable and enjoy working with people.
